We have a living God, a speaking God! One who loves us, His children, and He particularly loves to speak to each one of us personally! He can speak to any one of us who love Him. On the Day of Pentecost He said:

“In the last days I will pour out of My Spirit upon all flesh: your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams” (Acts 2:17).

We can hear from God every day, but it doesn’t have to be out loud, it doesn’t have to be with an audible voice. It can be in that “still small voice” (1 Kings 19:12) that we feel inside, and often it’s not even words, but just an impression that we have. God doesn’t even have to communicate in words, He can give us a feeling, a picture or an idea. The Bible says:

God speaks once, yes twice, yet man perceives it not. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men, in slumbering on the bed; Then He opens the ears of men, and seals their instruction. (Job 33:14-16)
